Senior Solutions Engineer – Central

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Effectively convey the business and technical advantages of Neo4j to customers and prospects, serving as a primary technical advisor and champion for our products and services.

• Proactively lead and manage the technology evaluation phase of the sales process.

• Handle multiple opportunities concurrently and oversee daily tasks such as qualifying opportunities, conducting technical discovery, delivering presentations, demonstrating platforms and use cases, providing proof of value, sizing, and documenting technical decision criteria.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customer stakeholders at all levels, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor to help them realize what they can accomplish with Neo4j.

• Collaborate with customers to design reference and solution architectures, including the integration of Neo4j within their existing systems and applications in either public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) or on-premise setups.

• Keep abreast of the latest Neo4j features, including usage and integration with third-party tools and services.

• Synthesize and communicate customer requirements and product feedback to Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales teams.

• Contribute to demand generation by participating in account-based marketing initiatives as well as prominent industry conferences and trade shows.

• Model exemplary behavior and actively promote a culture of teamwork, transparency, creativity, and continuous improvement.

• Travel as necessary to support deal creation and closure, providing assistance to your team as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of customer-facing experience in a related role (Sales/Presales/Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, Technical Consultant, etc.), preferably in a fast-growing, scaling environment.

• Experience with various data technologies in areas such as enterprise data architecture, data analytics, data science, or cloud data architecture.

• Essential familiarity with graph data technology.

• Strong working knowledge of Neo4j is highly advantageous!

• Practical experience and expertise with relational (SQL) and/or NoSQL databases, and proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, Go, C#.

• Proven success in designing, developing, and implementing data solutions in public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) or on-premise.

• Ability to engage and articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels through presentations, whiteboarding sessions, and platform demonstrations.

• Technical proficiency and business insight to translate technical concepts and patterns into meaningful business results.

• A strong desire to learn new technologies (especially graph-related), innovate new data modeling techniques, and lead change management initiatives.

• An entrepreneurial spirit, capable of prioritizing, adapting, and solving problems effectively.
