Senior Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Lead technical discovery sessions to comprehend customer mission requirements related to lawful intercept, location intelligence, and data analytics.

• Represent SS8 and its partner ecosystem in the design and delivery of comprehensive solutions tailored to meet customer and prospect needs across telecom networks, data collection, mediation, analytics, and visualization platforms.

• Own the technical sales cycle, including architecture, solution positioning, demonstrations, proofs of concept (POCs), and responses to RFPs/RFIs with innovative and unique approaches.

• Convert ambiguous “we need intel” requests into precise system designs, and assertively push back when necessary.

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to law enforcement agencies (LEA), intelligence community (IC), and telecom stakeholders.

• Clearly present complex solutions to both engineering teams and non-technical decision-makers.

• Facilitate customer workshops, conduct technical deep dives, and lead executive briefings.

• Act as a liaison between operational users and IT/network teams.

• Develop both high-level and detailed architectures that integrate SS8 solutions into existing customer environments.

• Ensure compliance with telecom standards, lawful intercept frameworks, and regulatory mandates.

• Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure a seamless transition from design to implementation.

• Partner with account teams to devise successful strategies for new and ongoing opportunities.

• Take ownership of creating proposals, quotes, statements of work (SOWs), and technical documentation.

• Support competitive positioning and clearly articulate differentiators.

• Provide structured feedback to product management regarding emerging trends, customer challenges, requirements analysis, and field-driven insights based on practical experience.

• Influence product direction by presenting real-world use cases and addressing customer pain points.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in solution and systems engineering, sales engineering, network engineering, or solution architecture.

• Proven capability to design and size high-capacity, high-performance, mission-critical systems.

• Strong knowledge of telecom network architectures and signaling protocols, including:

• 3G, 4G LTE/EPC, and 5G Core

• IMS, VoLTE, VoIP

• IP networking (routing, switching, protocols)

• Experience with lawful intercept frameworks and systems.

• Solid understanding of data flows, packet capture, and network-based data collection.
