This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +4 more states.
• Take charge of the technical sales process, from initial meetings (new sales) to post-sales activities (customer satisfaction, upselling, and subscription renewals).
• Address the technical requirements of clients by identifying new use cases for Cloudera’s technology.
• Create tailored solutions for customers utilizing Cloudera technologies, drawing from reference architectures and established patterns.
• Showcase Cloudera products in a manner that motivates customers to enthusiastically choose Cloudera.
• Collaborate with Account Managers to demonstrate the genuine value of a Cloudera solution and facilitate successful sales.
• Share the product roadmap and vision to encourage customers to broaden their thinking.
• Work with other Cloudera teams to ensure a unified message is communicated to customers.
• Advocate for customer needs to Product Management and Engineering teams.
• Engage in external promotion and advocacy (conferences, meetups, webinars, blogs).
• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 8 years of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably within a pre-sales environment.
• Proficient in creating and delivering technical presentations and demonstrations.
• Familiarity with technologies such as Big Data, Data Warehousing, or Relational Databases.
• Experience with one or more of the leading cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Knowledge in Data Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning Operations, Security, and Data Governance in enterprise settings.
• Experience with Unix or Linux systems.
• Skilled in gathering and interpreting customer business requirements.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
