This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Collaborate closely with clients and partners to grasp business needs and requirements.
• Assist sales executives in gaining a thorough understanding of client needs.
• Provide technical presentations and tailored product demonstrations.
• Manage product implementation within client environments and liaise with technical support.
• Drive technical sales efforts, including discovery sessions, demonstrations, evaluations, POCs, and RFPs.
• Oversee complex RFP submissions, deals, and internal special projects.
• Document customer needs, requirements, and envisioned future states.
• Customize messaging to align with client requirements and specific use cases.
• Mentor team members in Solutions Engineering and facilitate their onboarding process.
• Convey strategic messaging to senior leaders and decision-makers.
• Engage in Sales Enablement initiatives.
• Maintain comprehensive technical knowledge of CData’s product offerings and the competitive landscape.
• Recognize market trends, use cases, and potential market opportunities.
• Lead technical responses to RFIs and RFPs.
• Collaborate with Solutions Engineering, Sales, Product, Marketing, and Technical Support teams.
• Offer product feedback to shape the product roadmap.
• Serve as the technical customer relationship lead and a liaison with technical support.
• Resolve technical issues for customers and prospects.
• Share knowledge throughout the team and company.
• Bachelor's degree (BA, BS, or BE) in a STEM discipline.
• 4+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering or a similar role.
• Proficiency in reading and writing code to address problems in at least one programming language; Java or C# preferred.
• Advanced understanding of database systems and SQL.
• Experience in delivering technical presentations to senior-level client executives.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
• Candidates must be based in the US and legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
• Approximately 10% travel is required.
