Senior Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Generating sales opportunities by overseeing the pre-sales technical process and showcasing Akamai's technology to clients.

• Overseeing the technical proposal process to ensure all technical details and recommendations meet customer needs accurately.

• Monitoring account activities for business analysis and reporting, while designing technical solutions that fulfill our clients' requirements.

• Directing sales initiatives, including Technical Demonstrations and Proof of Concepts (POCs).

⛳️ Requirements

• 12 years of relevant experience.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Must be a US citizen and capable of obtaining a US government clearance.

• Experience in customer-facing roles, including consulting, technical solutions in pre-sales or post-sales capacities.

• Knowledge in web acceleration, web security, infrastructure security technologies, or cloud computing solutions.

• In-depth understanding of internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, HTML, SSL, and Cloud Computing.

• A strong customer advocate with a passion for delivering technical solutions.

• Proficient in presenting technical concepts to varied audiences.

• A collaborative team player, adept at prioritizing and problem-solving in a dynamic environment.
