Senior Solutions Architect, Modern Platforms – Telecom, Media, Entertainment, Gaming, Sports

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create client-facing deliverables, such as high-level solution summaries, proposals, staffing models, Statements of Work, and responses to RFPs/RFIs.

• Oversee the scoping of workshops and evaluate, mobilize, and implement migrations of on-premises applications and legacy data centers to AWS.

• Formulate strategies for cloud security, identity, and access management that are in line with regulatory and compliance standards.

• Facilitate infrastructure as code by utilizing AWS CloudFormation or Terraform to establish automated CI/CD pipelines.

• Serve as a subject matter expert and manage the sales process from gathering requirements to handing off to delivery.

• Take ownership of the proposal approval process, coordinating cross-functional reviews and securing sign-off from internal stakeholders.

• Create and implement standardized methodologies for solution design, deployment, and optimization using industry-specific frameworks.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.

• At least 5 years in solutions architecture, technical pre-sales, delivery, or similar customer-facing technical roles.

• Over 3 years of experience providing consulting and advisory services for strategic solutions such as IT strategy, application placement, and cloud governance.

• Extensive AWS expertise, particularly in EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda, EKS, ECS, and other related core services.

• Strong understanding of container orchestration, Infrastructure as Code, and AWS Well-Architected principles.

• Exceptional communication skills and executive presence when engaging with technical architects and C-suite stakeholders.

• Comprehensive background in cloud migration and modernization, including lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and re-architecting solutions.

• Solid grasp of DevOps, CI/CD, microservices, serverless, and event-driven AWS architectures.

• Experience with solution design methodologies and technical best practices.

• Expert knowledge of AWS core services, including IAM, CloudWatch, Route 53, and AWS Organizations.

• Proficiency in all five pillars of the AWS Well-Architected Framework.

• Experience in designing multi-account, multi-region AWS architectures for enterprise environments.

• Familiarity with architecting cloud migration strategies and AWS or third-party migration tools.

• Experience using the AWS Pricing Calculator and developing cost models for client estimates and proposals.

• Active AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional certification is highly preferred.
