Senior Solutions Architect – Data & AI Engineer, German-Speaking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design and implement scalable AWS architectures tailored for Data Platforms and Generative AI/Agentic AI solutions.

• Ensure adherence to security, performance, reliability, and cost efficiency as outlined in the AWS Well-Architected Framework.

• Make and document architectural choices, including associated trade-offs.

• Convert business challenges into quantifiable technical requirements and clear objectives.

• Continuously refine existing standards.

• Assist with technical pre-sales, project scoping, and the preparation of Statements of Work.

• Create Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions utilizing AWS Bedrock.

• Develop agent architectures that incorporate tool usage, MCP-based integrations, and multi-step orchestration.

• Implement human-in-the-loop patterns, approval steps, escalation logic, and review loops.

• Set up evaluation and quality assurance processes for LLM and agent systems.

• Provide guidance to customers on the practical and responsible implementation of GenAI and Agentic AI.

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor.

• Support pre-sales initiatives and conduct technical workshops.

• Translate complex technology into tangible business value.

• Mentor junior team members.

• Contribute to the development of internal standards, best practices, and training materials.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud, data, software, or ML engineering, including at least 2 years managing end-to-end architectures.

• Strong practical expertise with AWS.

• Extensive experience in data engineering and ETL architectures.

• Background in Generative AI/Agentic AI projects.

• Proficient in Python.

• Fluent in English.

• Professional-level proficiency in German.

• AWS certifications are advantageous.

• Experience in pre-sales or technical leadership is beneficial.

• Background in consulting or customer-facing projects is a plus.

• Familiarity with AWS Connect is an advantage.

• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar tools) is a plus.

• Experience in LLM customization, fine-tuning, and distillation is a plus.

• Practical experience in MLOps (model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management) is a plus.

• Experience with Kafka/streaming technologies is a plus.
