Senior Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Enterprise and other Solution architects to establish solution architecture and technical context diagrams that align with business and technology strategies, as well as specific initiative functional and nonfunctional requirements.

• Maintain an updated technical footprint, including fitness assessments, technical debt evaluations, and application health monitoring.

• Ensure alignment and cooperation with the EA group, peer Domain Architects, and Solution Architects.

• Comprehend, advocate for, and support the IT strategy, while analyzing the servicing operations IT environment to identify deficiencies and propose enhancements.

• Lead, promote, and communicate the progress, outcomes, and results of domain architecture initiatives.

• Offer technical consultation, research, and support for application development projects as required.

• Engage in the evaluation and selection of standard technologies and/or products.

• Analyze IT industry and market trends to assess their implications for business and operations.

• Provide technical guidance and consulting to development teams.

• Assist development team management and solution architects in ensuring domain development teams adhere to enterprise architecture standards, code quality, and compliance with metrics/targets.

• Identify the organizational resources, structures, and cultural changes necessary to support the enterprise architecture.

• Ensure application developers possess the requisite knowledge, experience, tools, environments, and support to function as a high-performing team.

• Continuously monitor optimal utilization of technology investments.

• Assist in the budgeting process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of experience in Software Architecture and Development for enterprise-level initiatives.

• More than 2 years of Cloud Architecture and Development experience, with a strong preference for AWS experience and certifications.

• At least 5 years of experience working in Agile teams across multiple teams.

• Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.

• Desired Education: An advanced degree is a plus.

• Required Skills: Proficient understanding of cloud architecture.

• Proven expertise in multiple related disciplines (architecture/design and application development) using structured methodologies for the development of complex large-scale applications.

• Experience with the DevOps model of development and assisting teams in transitioning from traditional to DevOps practices.

• Proficient in full stack development using languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, and JavaScript frameworks including Angular and React.

• Familiarity with REST or similar API frameworks in the context of enterprise-level API portals.

• Comprehensive knowledge of securing applications in a cloud environment.

• Experience architecting solutions that bridge “On Cloud” and “On Prem” environments.

• Good understanding of modern data solutions in the cloud and data exchange formats.

• In-depth knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture and Event Driven Architecture, including frameworks and enterprise integration patterns, particularly security patterns.

• Knowledge of web and data technologies from both an architectural and implementation perspective.

• Experience with XML/XSL/XSLT/XSD, SOAP, WSDL, HTTP, REST, and AJAX development and/or architecture.

• Working knowledge of SQL and advanced querying techniques.

• Security expertise in distributed web applications.

• Strong proficiency in cloud architecture and development with AWS.

• Experience in automating QA processes is a significant advantage.

• Familiarity with RPA.

• Knowledge of FIS development and architecture.

• Understanding of data warehouse concepts and data modeling.

• Familiarity with Open SSO, oAuth, SAML, SFTP, and PGP.

• Ability to identify current and future technology trends in relation to business needs.

• Experience in creating technical blueprints and modeling both current and future domain or enterprise-level architectures based on business requirements.

• Capability to articulate the connection between business strategy and technology strategy.

• Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining application design patterns, overseeing the development of foundational components, and managing performance and security testing of application modules and interfaces.

• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and diverse audiences; experience delivering clear and concise presentations to inform business and IT leaders of status, risks, and issues while fostering consensus on decisions; experience in simplifying complex concepts for decision-makers to guide technology strategy.

• Aptitude for evaluating complex IT programs and selecting suitable technical strategies.
