Senior Solution Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Account Executives to enhance revenue generation across UiPath’s agentic platform.

• Create and showcase integrated solutions that unify AI agents, robots, and humans throughout end-to-end business processes.

• Act as a reliable technical advisor who converts intricate, cross-system business processes into agentic blueprints.

• Present information confidently to various audiences, including process owners, enterprise architects, CIOs, and CFOs.

• Engage with the Presales community by contributing reusable assets.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in a customer-facing position — presales, solutions consulting, solution architecture, or strategic consulting — focused on selling or delivering enterprise automation, BPM, AI, or integration software.

• Hands-on experience in modeling business processes using BPMN standards, along with an understanding of how BPMN connects to executable orchestration.

• Familiarity with decision modeling, including DMN, decision tables, or decision graphs, and knowledge of how decision logic is distinct from process flow in contemporary orchestration platforms.

• Practical experience with at least one BPM/workflow platform such as ServiceNow (Workflow Studio/App Engine), Pega, Appian, K2/Nintex, IBM BPM, Camunda, or Bizagi — ideally encompassing process design, decision logic, integration, and deployment.

• Comprehension of agentic AI concepts — such as autonomous agents, tool/function calling, retrieval, evaluation, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop patterns — and their application within enterprise processes.

• Acquaintance with LLMs and the broader AI ecosystem (model providers, embeddings, RAG, agent frameworks) sufficient for discussing architecture and trade-offs with technical stakeholders.

• Prior experience with UiPath or a similar automation platform is a significant advantage.

• Results-driven, outcome-focused mindset with the ability to quantify business value (cycle time, cost-to-serve, accuracy, capacity unlocked) and correlate solution design to it.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the credibility to present to both technical and executive audiences.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the capacity to navigate ambiguity and quickly structure complex problems.

• Team-oriented attitude with the ability to excel in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

• Fluent written and spoken English is essential.

• Lead technical engagements throughout the sales cycle for UiPath’s agentic platform — from discovery and solution shaping to demonstrations, proof-of-value, technical validation, and handover to delivery.

• Conduct thorough investigations of customer business processes, current automation and BPM landscapes, and AI aspirations; identify where agentic orchestration achieves measurable results.

• Model comprehensive processes in industry standards like BPMN 2.0, CMN, and design corresponding decision logic (DMN/decision graphs) to demonstrate how UiPath Maestro orchestrates AI agents, robots, APIs, and human approvers across long-running, stateful workflows.

• Transform strategic business challenges into agentic solutions — including exception handling, human-in-the-loop checkpoints, and ROI across processes.

• Position UiPath in relation to incumbent BPM platforms (SAP, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Pega, Appian, IBM, Nintex/K2) and iPaaS tools; articulate how UiPath extends, complements, or replaces existing investments without undermining the customer’s prior architectural choices.

• Develop and deliver engaging demonstrations and proofs-of-value that illustrate collaboration among agents, robots, and humans in real customer scenarios — grounded in BPMN process models and governed by the AI Trust Layer.

• Stay updated on agentic AI patterns (autonomous agents, tool use, retrieval, evaluation, guardrails) and the evolving UiPath platform.

• Promote end-user adoption of UiPath’s agentic capabilities through events, executive briefings, webinars, and hands-on workshops.

• Assist Marketing and field initiatives through evangelism — speaking at UiPath and industry events and representing the agentic platform to the regional ecosystem.

• Provide an industry-relevant perspective in client discussions, leveraging knowledge of regional priorities (financial services, telco, mining) across Africa.

• Manage multiple opportunities simultaneously, effectively prioritizing and demonstrating strong commercial judgment.

• Contribute to the Presales community by sharing reusable assets — BPMN reference models, demo blueprints, discovery frameworks, and competitive insights.
