AI & NLP Research Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Propel the adoption of Machine Translation (MT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), provide recommendations, and facilitate cross-team initiatives.

• Spearhead the strategic deployment of AI and MT tools designed to enhance workflows and foster adoption.

• Develop and implement machine learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP) models to reveal insights and optimize processes.

• Refine MT engines for specialized content and multilingual environments.

• Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to enhance file preparation and pre-translation workflows.

• Offer expert advice to internal teams and clients regarding AI and MT solutions.

• Assess client requests, evaluate various MT engines, and suggest the most suitable technologies.

• Test and evaluate Large Language Models (LLMs), AI tools, and MT engines for precision and effectiveness.

• Create scalable and cost-effective processes for assessing MT output quality.

• Utilize post-editing data to continuously enhance MT performance with intelligent technology choices.

• Develop clear and practical documentation and training materials for linguists and project teams.

• Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring trends and evaluating emerging AI and localization tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in localization or technology, with 1–3 years specifically in machine translation, AI, or NLP.

• Possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional or military experience.

• Expertly navigate localization workflows, language assets, and content adaptation.

• Apply critical thinking to solve complex MT challenges effectively.

• Proficient in Python and familiar with libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, spaCy, and NLTK.

• Work autonomously, prioritize tasks efficiently, and take ownership of responsibilities.

• Communicate effectively, collaborate confidently, and excel in cross-functional team environments.

• Fluent in English and eager to connect with global audiences.
