This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Ensure consistent, predictable, and high-quality implementations across health systems and hospital clients.
• Oversee implementation experiences for Waystar’s Patient Access solutions, encompassing eligibility, coverage detection, prior authorization, estimation, and presumptive eligibility data integrations.
• Act as the senior subject matter expert for patient access revenue cycle implementations.
• Direct complex client engagements in alignment with project objectives, contractual obligations, and Waystar best practices.
• Handle competing priorities, mitigate risks, and facilitate successful project outcomes.
• Build and sustain trusted advisor relationships with executive-level client stakeholders, key influencers, and internal leadership teams.
• Provide strategic guidance that enhances solution adoption, value realization, and long-term customer success.
• Tackle complex implementation challenges by identifying root causes, evaluating impacts, recommending solutions, and fostering alignment.
• Recognize project risks, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement; drive mitigation strategies, manage escalations, and influence decisions.
• Develop and advocate for a strategic vision focused on customer success.
• Communicate recommendations to executive stakeholders and illustrate solution value.
• Mentor team members and aid in the continuous improvement of implementation methodologies and best practices.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in the healthcare revenue cycle.
• Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong understanding of software and technology, including foundational database principles and data exchange formats.
• Solid process orientation, with adept problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, alongside a commitment to quality.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations.
• Knowledge of healthcare terminology.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities; a collaborative team player.
• Experience with EDI and/or healthcare transactions is essential.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
• Preferred: familiarity with Epic or Meditech EMR.
• Preferred: understanding of payer plan benefit information.
• Preferred: knowledge of payer/hospital contracts.
• Preferred: awareness of healthcare code sets such as 270, 278, FHIR, and API.
• Preferred: experience with eligibility benefit verification.
• Preferred: experience in obtaining prior authorizations from payer sites.
