Senior Software Tester

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement both manual and automated test cases to verify software functionality.

• Identify, document, and monitor defects using a test management or issue tracking system, such as Jira.

• Conduct functional, regression, exploratory, and API testing to guarantee system stability and reliability.

• Collaborate with developers and product managers to clarify testing requirements.

• Execute API testing with tools like Postman and Swagger.

• Ensure comprehensive test coverage across different testing levels, including integration and system testing.

• Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with customer testing teams and offer recommendations regarding software readiness.

• Operate within an Agile development environment, demonstrating familiarity with Agile ceremonies, including participation in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

• Foster the adoption of test automation frameworks where applicable, particularly in identifying areas suitable for automation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing, preferably within an Agile framework.

• Solid understanding of testing methodologies, encompassing functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.

• Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps.

• Practical experience with API testing tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar applications.

• Experience in automation is preferred; familiarity with tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright is a significant advantage.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Willingness to engage with other departments (support, operations, professional services, etc.) to improve processes and enhance quality.

• Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment.

• Basic understanding of SQL for database validation and testing purposes.

• ISTQB certification (Foundation Level or higher) is a plus but not mandatory.
