Senior Software Quality Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases, including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.

• Integrate and manage automated tests within our continuous integration pipelines.

• Deploy, configure, and oversee static code analysis tools.

• Assess analysis results and establish specific technical measures to enhance quality.

• Prepare technical reports on testing and quality, including test coverage, defect rates, and CI results.

• Document test plans, test cases, and quality assurance processes.

• Collaborate closely with the development team regarding QA challenges and defect hotspots.

• Actively participate in shaping our quality assurance strategy throughout the software development lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in (applied) computer science or vocational training as an IT specialist (Fachinformatiker) along with relevant professional experience.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing within IT projects and in the creation and maintenance of automated tests.

• Familiarity with continuous integration systems, preferably GitHub Actions.

• Background in using test tools and test suites.

• Strong foundational knowledge of software testing principles according to ISTQB.

• Diligent, detail-oriented, team-oriented, and capable of working independently.

• Excellent German language proficiency (both written and spoken) and good English language skills.
