Senior Software Product Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Design and create event-driven, data-intensive backend services utilizing Node.js, TypeScript, AWS, and cloud-native technologies to facilitate AI workloads at scale.

• Architect and implement solutions based on microservices with well-defined service boundaries, REST APIs, and asynchronous messaging patterns.

• Lead the development and deployment of AI-driven systems that manage both structured and unstructured data to enhance intelligent decision-making.

• Propel Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices and sustain automated testing strategies across unit, integration, and contract testing.

• Design scalable cloud-native architectures and distributed systems that cater to mission-critical healthcare applications.

• Collaborate with product owners, engineers, and stakeholders to convert business requirements into production-ready technical solutions.

• Assess emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and tools to foster innovation, modernization, and sustained scalability.

• Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as necessary to support team objectives and ensure project success.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field.

• Over 6 years of professional software engineering experience, specifically in designing and deploying AI-enabled systems in production environments.

• Experience with implementing CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and best practices in DevOps.

• Proficiency in designing and developing microservices, REST APIs, and distributed systems.

• Proven experience applying Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies and automated testing practices.

• Strong expertise in React, Node.js, and TypeScript.

• Experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI services such as OpenAI, Amazon Bedrock, Anthropic Claude, or similar platforms.

• Familiarity with AWS services including Amazon Aurora (PostgreSQL), ECS, SQS, S3, and other related cloud-native technologies.

• Experience in building event-driven and data-intensive applications.

• Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools like Cursor, GitHub Copilot, OpenAI Codex, or Claude Code.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to lead technical discussions and influence engineering decisions.

• Proven capability to mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices.

• Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
