This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• As a member of the ISPM team and the broader engineering group at JumpCloud, you will oversee and guide the engineering teams that report to you.
• You will effectively collaborate with Staff and Principal engineers to develop features, drive architectural decisions, establish best practices, and enhance product quality.
• Your influence will extend to our engineering methodologies as well as product strategy and implementation.
• As an integral part of the engineering leadership team, you will work alongside your peers and other departments to cultivate, lead, and motivate a top-tier engineering organization.
• You will provide technical guidance and supervision of team endeavors within your areas of expertise.
• You will be tasked with recruiting, onboarding, and mentoring an expanding and diverse team of high-potential individuals.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in leading and building software engineering teams within public cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, alongside a total of over 12 years of industry experience.
• Proven experience managing a team of 8 or more members, including performance management and fostering a successful team dynamic.
• A solid history of leading and executing team and organizational projects or initiatives to successful and timely completion.
• A strong grasp of software engineering principles and methodologies.
• A track record of Software-as-a-Service ownership and a strong advocate for Reliability Principles.
• Practical experience collaborating with agile teams.
• Exceptional ability to communicate and work effectively with fellow engineering managers and both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Capacity to swiftly integrate new technologies and industry best practices into your skill set.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams, including Software and Quality Engineers.
• A strong record of identifying, hiring, developing, and retaining High Performing Engineers.
• Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and collaborative environment.
• A history of driving continuous improvement through innovation, delivery, process enhancement, quality, etc.
• Experience leading geographically diverse engineering teams in today’s remote-first work environment.
• Familiarity with AI coding agents such as Cursor, Claude, or Copilot, and AI tools like Gemini, Notebook LLM, and their effective use for optimizing day-to-day work.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and the development of related solutions.
