Senior Software Engineer – Wireless RAN Algorithms Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sweden.

📋 Description

• Lead the initiatives for system construction, which includes the research, formulation, and development of RAN algorithms in the domains of 5G/6G PHY and MAC-Scheduler, while incorporating cutting-edge strategies such as AI/ML, Deep Learning, and Raytracing.

• Facilitate the implementation of algorithms within a GPU-accelerated environment, meticulously evaluating the trade-offs in design and execution.

• Collaborate effectively with customers and ecosystem partners, providing support for integration, system simulations, performance benchmarking, and optimizations.

⛳️ Requirements

• MS or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

• Over 8 years of relevant experience.

• Established theoretical understanding of communication systems, communication theory, linear algebra, detection and estimation theory, baseband signal processing algorithms, and channel coding.

• Extensive expertise in the design and optimization of LTE/5G NR L1 (PHY) and L2 (MAC-scheduler) algorithms.

• Experience in characterizing and analyzing wireless algorithm performance.

• Practical experience in wireless base station design, development, and commercialization.

• Proficient in building system models using Matlab, C/C++, and/or Python for algorithm design and link-level simulation.

• Strong knowledge of the 3GPP 5G NR standard.

• Understanding of the strategic context of the Telecom Industry and the evolution of Wireless technology.

• Research experience in AI/ML and its applications within wireless domains (a distinguishing factor).

• Proven experience in software development for commercial RAN products.

• Familiarity with SIMD computing architecture.

• Background in GPU or CUDA programming.

• Understanding of Wireless Protocols and End-to-End Deployment Architecture.
