Senior Software Engineer, Vendor Integrations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain backend services and APIs in Python, incorporating AI-assisted development and automation as standard practice in the workflow.

• Take ownership of features from design to production, ensuring accountability for quality, performance, and maintainability.

• Proactively promote AI adoption within the engineering team by introducing, enhancing, and scaling AI-driven workflows throughout the development lifecycle.

• Recognize opportunities where AI can minimize manual tasks, enhance code quality, expedite delivery, or boost operational reliability.

• Create and support single-page applications utilizing Vue.

• Collaborate closely with engineers in small, cross-functional feature teams.

• Work together with Product Managers and other teams to deliver measurable business outcomes.

• Partner with your Engineering Manager to foster technical growth, mentorship, and career development.

• Assist with additional tasks or projects as assigned to fulfill team and business requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Strong practical experience with Python and backend service development.

• Demonstrated experience in guiding teams to adopt new engineering practices, especially concerning AI-driven development.

• Extensive experience in designing, building, and integrating APIs.

• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL and relational databases.

• Proficient in Docker and Docker Compose.

• Experience with unit testing and end-to-end testing.

• Familiarity with Django, DRF, or FastAPI.

• Frontend experience with either Vue or React.

• Knowledge of Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and basic infrastructure concepts.

• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Fluent in English, possessing strong communication skills.
