Senior Software Engineer, Unsecured Installments

📋 Description

• Take charge of the design and execution of large-scale, intricate backend and full-stack projects from initial planning to launch and ongoing maintenance.

• Establish the technical framework for service architecture, APIs, data models, and system integrations.

• Manage a 3–6 month roadmap, addressing issues related to systemic reliability and team effectiveness.

• Collaborate with product managers, frontend developers, designers, platform engineers, and backend engineers to create scalable systems.

• Enhance service and API design, ensure data integrity, improve testing, observability, security, and operational rigor.

• Deconstruct ambiguous challenges into clear, testable strategies and utilize data to inform decision-making.

• Guide engineers through code reviews, design evaluations, and provide technical mentorship.

• Contribute to the integration of AI in development workflows and product functionalities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 6 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Extensive expertise in designing and developing backend services and APIs using Python, Java, Kotlin, Go, Ruby, or Node.js.

• Strong background in service architecture, API design, data modeling, relational or non-relational databases, and distributed systems.

• Proven experience leading significant, business-critical backend or full-stack projects in a production environment.

• Familiarity with testing, monitoring, incident response, performance optimization, and long-term operational ownership.

• Capability to navigate effectively in ambiguous settings.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Preferred: Experience in backend or full-stack technical leadership roles.

• Preferred: Experience with consumer-facing products or high-volume transactional systems.

• Preferred: Background in fintech, lending, payments, or regulated financial products.

• Preferred: Knowledge of distributed systems, asynchronous processing, event-driven, or service-oriented architectures.

• Preferred: Experience with cloud infrastructure, data storage solutions, messaging systems, and CI/CD processes.

• Preferred: Familiarity with experimentation, feature flagging, or production platform functionalities.

• Preferred: Experience with generative AI technologies.
