Senior Software Engineer, Terraform/GCP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Context: We are in search of a Software Engineer to assist in the development of cloud security blueprints for Google Cloud Platform (GCP). These blueprints encapsulate the security best practices utilized by leading companies around the globe.

• A blueprint consists of a package of deployable, reusable modules and policies that both implements and documents a specific security solution.

• The development work will be conducted on open-source projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services (2+ years);

• Infrastructure automation using Terraform (1+ year);

• Strong software development experience in Java, Python, or Go (3+ years);

• Proficiency in English communication (CEFR B2);

• Ability to comprehend and develop requirements independently from minimal specifications, consistently demonstrating results and progress;

• Skill in testing, investigating, analyzing, solving, and effectively communicating problems;

• Capacity to propose and discuss solutions, while incorporating feedback received;

• Function as a full software engineer: from understanding the problem to delivering the solution, including work on tests (both manual and automated) and technical writing of manuals, tutorials, guides, or documentation;

• Competence in automating and optimizing development tasks;

• Enthusiasm and capability to rapidly learn and apply technologies beyond those already known;

• Development experience in multiple programming languages;

• Foundational knowledge of cloud infrastructure security;

• Basic understanding of Kubernetes and GKE;

• Possession of any of the following GCP certifications: Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud Security Engineer, Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, Professional Cloud Developer, or Professional Cloud Network Engineer;

• Holding Terraform certification(s);

• Additional GCP certifications (optional);

• Proficiency in English communication (CEFR C1+).
