This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Act as the technical leader, providing architectural guidance and hands-on engineering for consumer lending solutions.
β’ Design and develop robust, secure, and maintainable layers using C#, VB.Net, RESTful web services, and SOAP APIs, ensuring consistency and reliability throughout the consumer lending platform.
β’ Manage the entire development lifecycle from requirements analysis and technical design to implementation, testing, deployment, and production monitoring.
β’ Establish and uphold technical standards, coding practices, and integration patterns for the team; perform code reviews and set quality gates that guarantee security, performance, and maintainability.
β’ Develop architectural blueprints and technical design documents for complex challenges, assessing provider contracts, API specifications, and data schemas to lead the team towards effective, scalable solutions.
β’ Serve as the escalation point for production incidents and intricate technical issues related to fintech integrations, facilitating root cause analysis and sustainable resolutions.
β’ Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers on the team; offer structured guidance, pair programming, and knowledge transfer on integration patterns, financial data management, and platform conventions.
β’ Assess emerging fintech integration partners and technologies, conducting proof-of-concept activities and providing recommendations to engineering leadership.
β’ Ensure all solutions adhere to MeridianLink's standards for data security, PII management, regulatory compliance, and financial data privacy.
β’ Contribute to cross-team architectural decisions impacting infrastructure, shared services, and platform-wide API strategy.
β’ Perform additional duties as assigned in a timely manner.
β’ 7β10 years of progressive experience in software engineering, including responsibilities in technical leadership.
β’ Strong proficiency in C#, VB.Net, .NET Framework, and enterprise web application development.
β’ Experience in designing and integrating RESTful and SOAP APIs within distributed systems.
β’ Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and successfully deliver complex integration projects from start to finish.
β’ Familiarity with SQL Server, relational database design, and performance tuning.
β’ In-depth understanding of fintech integration concepts such as OAuth 2.0, webhooks, API security, and financial data workflows.
β’ Experience with consumer lending, financial systems, or fintech platforms is highly preferred.
β’ Proficient in utilizing AI-powered development tools for coding assistance, debugging, automated testing, code reviews, documentation, and enhancing engineering productivity.
β’ Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and collaborative skills across functions.
β’ Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field, coupled with 7β10 years of progressive software development experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
