Senior Software Engineer, Rails/Go

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and uphold features across our Rails and Go services.

• Create responsive and high-performance UIs using React.

• Develop and manage GraphQL APIs utilized by web and mobile applications.

• Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver top-notch features.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• More than 3 years of experience working with Rails monoliths or Go services for backend development.

• At least 2 years of experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience building production web applications with React.

• Familiarity with relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL), including knowledge of database indices and performance optimization.

• Experience using Sidekiq for background job processing.

• Proficiency in automated testing (we utilize Capybara and Playwright).

• Experience with integration of third-party APIs.

• Nice-to-haves include experience with:

• GraphQL.

• Google Cloud Pub/Sub.

• Mantine.

• Clean Architecture.

• Well-qualified candidates will possess a strong understanding of test-driven development, domain-driven development, design patterns, external web APIs, debugging in both Ruby and JavaScript, as well as domain modeling and application architecture.

• A keen interest in engaging in customer interviews, project scoping and prioritization, and enhancing team development practices is an advantage.
