Senior Software Engineer, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design and deploy new features and components for Apache Airflow.

• Enhance the performance and resilience of Airflow.

• Continuously iterate and refine the developer experience within Airflow.

• Elevate code quality and test coverage while minimizing test execution time.

• Engage with the Airflow community via Slack, mailing lists, and GitHub.

• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve high-quality outcomes.

• Interface with customers to troubleshoot problems and deliver solutions.

• Contribute to the Airflow ecosystem and support the open-source community.

• Showcase new Airflow features at conferences and events.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid experience as a Python developer with over 5 years in the field.

• Proven ability to think innovatively and pursue new ideas.

• Experience in resolving complex issues effectively.

• Strong understanding of scalable and distributed system architecture.

• A proactive attitude towards learning and staying abreast of industry advancements.

• Proficient in writing unit tests and valuing various automated testing methods.

• Skills in collaboration, active listening, information sharing, and providing feedback.

• Excellent communication abilities across GitHub, Slack, Zoom, email, and during pair programming sessions.

• Experience with Apache Airflow in live production settings (preferred).

• Background in Data Engineering (preferred).

• Contributions to open-source initiatives (preferred).

• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker (preferred).

• Experience in creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (preferred).

• Experience with React (preferred).
