Senior Software Engineer, Protect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and monitor high-performance backend services and APIs.

• Construct and productionize backend services primarily using Golang.

• Work closely with ML engineers and research teams to transition models from experimentation to production.

• Develop and maintain services utilizing AWS (Kinesis, DynamoDB, S3) and GCP native services.

• Deliver production-ready features end-to-end with a strong emphasis on scalability, performance, and security.

• Diagnose and address production issues using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Google Logging, and Cloud Trace.

• Review code to maintain quality standards and encourage best practices.

• Contribute to the evolution of backend and ML platform architecture.

• Engage in on-call rotation, including necessary night and weekend coverage.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7-10 years of experience in software development.

• Proven experience in building production backend services in Golang (or substantial backend experience in another language with a willingness to learn Go).

• Experience in designing and implementing scalable, cloud-based APIs.

• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and system design.

• 2+ years of experience in deploying SaaS services using CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).

• Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with AWS services such as Kinesis, DynamoDB, and S3.

• Knowledge of Redis, MySQL, or similar data stores.

• Strong proficiency in Linux.
