Senior Software Engineer – Player

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Construct, enhance, and optimize client-side video playback components.

• Create new playback features while refining existing user experiences.

• Collaborate with frontend, mobile, and backend engineers on architectural and implementation decisions.

• Engage in code reviews and technical discussions.

• Contribute to best practices in engineering and initiatives aimed at improving code quality.

• Work on React Native applications across mobile, TV, and web environments.

• Assist in evolving native player foundations utilizing technologies such as ExoPlayer, AVFoundation, and FFmpeg.

• Assume responsibility for technical challenges and contribute to team-wide initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Extensive experience with video playback infrastructure including FFmpeg, ExoPlayer, MediaCodec, or similar technologies.

• Proven experience in building user-facing applications on platforms like Android, iOS, tvOS, macOS, or Roku.

• Knowledge of streaming protocols such as HLS and DASH.

• Ability to swiftly comprehend complex systems and existing codebases.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in distributed environments.

• Ownership mindset and a passion for developing high-quality products.
