Senior Software Engineer – Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure and services at the convergence of agentic AI and extensive multimodal patient data.

• Take ownership of specific critical platform components from start to finish.

• Promote technical standards, conduct architectural reviews, and establish best practices throughout the engineering division.

• Provide mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.

• Assist in the design and development of our product architecture for various scalable scientific computing, data processing, and AI engineering applications.

• Work alongside software engineers, data engineers, researchers, and data scientists to identify their requirements and implement solutions that boost their productivity.

• Enhance and support our CI/CD pipelines, development workflows, and security protocols.

• Engage in incident response activities to guarantee high availability and reliability.

• Contribute to safeguarding the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data (security by design, vulnerability mitigation).

• Optimize the modularity and performance of our solutions.

• Enhance the observability of our stack and improve its resilience.

• Contribute to and refine our development tools and processes.

• Participate in a shared on-call rotation as part of the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience (typically over 7 years) as a software engineer, showcasing technical leadership in the design, deployment, and operation of critical cloud infrastructure at scale.

• Proficiency in either Python or Golang.

• Strong expertise in Docker.

• Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., Claude Code) to enhance software engineering efficiency and productivity.

• Experience managing cloud infrastructure as code, particularly using Terraform and Kubernetes on AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Background in architectural design of complex systems, especially those dealing with large-scale data.

• Proven attention to quality and adherence to software engineering processes, including observability and security: we operate what we develop.
