
Senior Software Engineer – PingOne Platform Administration, Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Report directly to the engineering director of the PingOne Admin Experience.
• Act as a senior individual contributor within the PingOne Platform Administration team.
• Engage in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Design and create backend services and APIs that facilitate the capabilities of the PingOne Platform Administration.
• Contribute to the creation of AI-related platform tools, such as MCP server functionalities, developer tools, and associated workflows.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, QA, UX, and peer engineering teams across PingOne to provide high-quality solutions.
• Influence the technical direction, engineering standards, and system design choices within the team.
• Guide and mentor fellow engineers through design evaluations, code reviews, and daily collaboration.
• Promote operational excellence by enhancing observability, reliability, maintainability, and deployment safety of services owned by the team.
• A minimum of 5-7 years of professional software engineering experience, functioning as a senior-level individual contributor on Agile teams.
• Solid backend software development expertise in building production-grade services.
• At least 3 years of experience in developing Java services.
• Proficiency in developing NodeJS services.
• Experience with TypeScript is highly preferred.
• Background in the Identity Management domain is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with developing tools and skills for AI models is highly preferred.
• Experience in developing MCP servers is highly preferred.
• Proven track record in developing SaaS applications.
• Competence in designing and utilizing REST APIs and working with distributed systems.
• Understanding of cloud-native development practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and production support.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional partners, including product management, QA, UX, and peer engineering teams.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical leadership abilities.
