Senior Software Engineer – New AI Initiatives

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• You will be instrumental in establishing the groundwork for Torc's AI development tools.

• Independently create data science models or algorithms by adhering to disciplined software development methodologies, offering suggestions for new code development or the reuse of existing code, enforcing version control, and ensuring proper documentation of developed applications.

• Collaborate with Data Ops to outline and execute the ingestion, preparation, curation, and governance of extensive, complex data sets that support analytics models and workflows.

• Organize and oversee projects, acting as the project lead and guiding less experienced team members in various aspects of project execution.

• Provide users with essential insights, facilitating visualization and data accessibility in a customer-focused manner.

• Establish guidelines and standards for analytics and machine learning models, their deployment, and related processes.

• Communicate and collaborate within the team while engaging with the team’s interfaces across the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline, with competencies and technical skills typically gained through 4+ years of experience, or;

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, combined with competencies and technical skills typically acquired through 2+ years of experience.

• An adventurous mindset, enabling you to tackle topics at the forefront of technology and drive exploration.

• A methodical approach: you will need to evaluate what is practical for Torc to implement at scale.

• You must effectively communicate your findings and progress to other teams, allowing them to reliably implement your insights.

• Resilience is key; you should be comfortable working on a project for a month that may not reach production.
