Senior Software Engineer – Network Services Orchestration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Accountable for developing automation and orchestration solutions within the network engineering team.

• Constructing service orchestration utilizing the Cisco network services orchestration platform for software-defined network capabilities.

• Collaborating with Network Architects to gather requirements, design, and outline the scope of feature development for network automation.

• Preparing high-level designs, conducting peer code reviews, creating unit tests, verifying enhancements and bugs, and managing build servers.

• Assisting in the planning and execution of complex network changes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in data center network engineering, automation, and service orchestration within enterprise environments.

• More than 3 years of experience in creating and developing automation capabilities in enterprise networks.

• Design, develop, maintain, test, deploy, and troubleshoot automated network services, service orchestration, and SD-WAN specific features.

• Proficiency in Network Automation/Orchestration skillsets using frameworks and toolsets, including Cisco Network Service Orchestrator (NSO).

• Familiarity with Cisco NSO Function Pack development knowledge in Resource Manager, ESC, NFVO, VNFM, and SDWAN Controller technologies.

• Preferred knowledge in Network Programmability, including SDN, REST APIs, NETCONF, YANG, JSON, and XML.

• Understanding of Cisco Data Center Compute platforms such as UCS Blade & Rack Servers, UCS Fabric Interconnect, UCS Manager, and Cisco ACI.

• Experience with Linux Operating Systems, including administration, scripting skills, CI/CD processes, and DevOps tools.

• Solid exposure to Routing, Switching, and Firewall administration.

• Knowledge of Leaf-spine architecture.

• Familiarity with switching techniques such as VLAN, VTP, various flavors of STP, and Ether-Channel.

• Experience with the Cisco Nexus Platform, including Nexus with VPC concepts.

• Experience with Firewall and F5 Load balancer.
