Senior Software Engineer – .NET Core/AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Work independently in a technical capacity within a team, adhering to a defined architecture throughout all phases from conceptualization to deployment.

• Assess trade-offs between accuracy, robustness, performance, and customer impact to ensure the development of optimal solutions, prioritizing client success.

• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to oversee architecture and dependencies that influence product strategy and direction.

• Participate in code reviews, contribute to documentation, and address complex bug fixes with an emphasis on security, performance, and reliability.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 7+ years of experience/expertise as a Full Stack Engineer, with a strong command of the specified technologies.

• .NET CORE, C# / .NET 6+ with over 3 years of experience.

• Extensive experience in AWS Cloud environments for more than 3 years (Lambdas, EKS, SQS).

• Proficient in both Relational and NoSQL databases, each with over 3 years of experience - SQL Server, MongoDB.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

• Comprehensive experience working with microservices.

• Knowledge of Docker and Containerization, especially Kubernetes.

• Significant experience with APIs exceeding 3 years.

• Solid experience in Unit Testing for more than 2 years.

• Proficient in Object Oriented Programming and SOLID principles.

• Extensive experience with various design patterns, capable of breaking down complexity and implementing solutions.

• Ability to mentor, assist, and support peers, providing accurate work estimations.

• Familiarity with CodeCommit.

• Proficient in GIT.

• A strong command of English is necessary for interaction with a globally distributed development team.

• Proven ability to follow and adapt high-level architecture to meet project and client requirements.

• Capability to verify and validate architecture implementations while influencing overall architecture beyond the immediate team.

• Expertise in object-oriented programming, preferably with experience in languages like Java or C#.

• High-level design skills following UML, C4, or ArchiMate methodologies.

• Experience in effectively collaborating with relevant information stakeholders to create and implement well-tested, scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise systems that achieve the client’s business objectives.

• Demonstrated initiative in mentoring fellow engineers and decision-makers throughout the organization.

• Strong understanding of architectural styles, design patterns, SOLID principles, and OWASP standards.
