Senior Software Engineer, .NET

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Assume responsibility for intricate engineering projects, guiding the technical design, implementation, delivery, and continuous operational excellence.

• Create, develop, and sustain scalable software solutions utilizing technologies such as C#, .NET Framework, SQL Server, React, jQuery, DocumentDB (MongoDB), Azure, and associated integration platforms.

• Design and support modern service architectures, including RESTful APIs, GraphQL, modular monoliths, microservices, and event- or integration-driven solutions as needed.

• Collaborate closely with Architecture, Product, and DevOps teams to establish technical solutions that are scalable, reliable, high-performing, secure, and in alignment with platform strategy.

• Offer technical leadership and guidance through solution design, code reviews, mentoring, estimation, and hands-on problem resolution.

• Contribute to and enhance engineering practices such as CI/CD, automated testing, observability, release quality, and operational readiness utilizing Azure DevOps and related tools.

• Implement sound engineering principles and practices such as domain-driven design (DDD), test-driven development (TDD), vertical slice architecture (VSA), and clean modular design where applicable.

• Identify and address system bottlenecks, reliability issues, and performance challenges across applications, services, data stores, and integrations.

• Utilize AI-enabled tools such as Codex, Claude Code, or similar technologies to enhance engineering efficiency and software delivery outcomes.

• Work collaboratively across teams and with stakeholders to drive clear technical decisions, mitigate risks, and achieve measurable results.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a senior or lead software engineer, with a history of managing and delivering complex technical projects.

• Strong practical experience with C#, .NET Framework, SQL Server, React, and contemporary application development methodologies.

• Experience in designing and delivering RESTful APIs and scalable distributed or modular systems.

• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps, software quality standards, and dependable production delivery.

• Proven ability to provide technical guidance, solution design, and architectural input in collaboration with Architecture, Product, and DevOps teams.

• Familiarity with VSA, DDD, TDD, modular monolith architecture, microservices, and related engineering methodologies is highly preferred.

• Experience utilizing Codex, Claude Code, or other AI tools within the SDLC is strongly preferred, along with the capacity to effectively leverage AI as a development resource.

• Exposure to AI and processing technologies within product experiences is advantageous.

• Familiarity with the legaltech industry is a plus.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and technical leadership abilities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
