Senior Software Engineer – Metrics, Release, Implementation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Convert SPI and system-level requirements into technical designs and production implementations.

• Develop and sustain Python-based services and AWS data pipelines that support metrics and validation workflows.

• Collaborate closely with requirements, systems, and validation teams to ensure precise implementation of safety and performance metrics.

• Process and evaluate vehicle telemetry and validation data to generate significant system signals.

• Establish release validation logic associated with automated testing and evaluation pipelines.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across data pipelines, telemetry flows, and metric computation systems.

• Contribute to workflow orchestration and automation systems (such as Temporal or similar tools).

• Engage in design discussions, code reviews, and the ongoing enhancement of engineering practices.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field, along with 6+ years of relevant experience; OR a Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience; OR a PhD with 1+ year of experience.

• Proficient in Python development.

• Extensive experience in working with AWS (including S3, Lambda, ECS, Step Functions, etc.).

• Background in building or maintaining data pipelines or backend systems.

• Capability to interpret ambiguous or high-level requirements and convert them into functional software.

• Experience in debugging intricate systems using logs, telemetry, and data.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and a talent for cross-functional collaboration.
