Senior Software Engineer – Leading

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design and develop essential platform services for a cloud-native insurance system.

• Create scalable and dependable microservices utilizing AWS container infrastructure.

• Develop APIs, metadata models, and workflows that cater to intricate insurance products.

• Contribute to the design of systems that are well-structured and versioned, facilitating safe automation and future AI-assisted workflows.

• Leverage modern AI-assisted development tools to enhance design, coding, and testing processes.

• Collaborate with Product, Customer Delivery, and Solution Architects to transform complex business requirements into robust platform functionalities.

• Conduct code reviews and mentor fellow engineers, fostering a culture of strong engineering principles and ongoing learning.

• Continuously enhance our platform architecture, infrastructure, and developer productivity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in building complex production systems or platform services.

• Proficiency in designing distributed systems and service architectures.

• Familiarity with Golang, Python, and/or Node.js / TypeScript.

• Practical experience in operating systems on modern cloud infrastructure (AWS or equivalent).

• Knowledge of microservices, containers, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Strong emphasis on system design, data modeling, and long-term maintainability.

• Regular utilization of AI tools within the engineering workflow, while maintaining complete ownership of system accuracy.

• Effective communication skills and a collaborative attitude when interacting with engineering, product, and customer teams.

• A sense of curiosity and a passion for solving complex problems without predefined solutions.
