Senior Software Engineer – Java, Open Finance

📋 Description

• Foster a culture of software engineering, knowledge sharing, and team engagement.

• Serve as a domain expert in your designated area of responsibility.

• Create robust and scalable backend solutions utilizing Java and Spring Boot.

• Actively engage in the complete software development lifecycle, from design to production delivery.

• Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines, ensuring automation and high-quality releases.

• Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to promote quality and reliability standards.

• Integrate and manage relational databases, as well as work with Kafka and Kafka Connectors.

• Utilize JPA/Hibernate and employ Kubernetes for application orchestration.

• Ensure application observability through metrics, logs, and monitoring to continuously enhance operations.

• Implement and advocate for software resilience best practices to maintain fault tolerance and high availability.

• Monitor technical indicators, conduct analyses, and recommend data-driven actions.

• Collaborate with other teams to encourage alignment and clear communication.

• Identify and address technical enhancements for the short, medium, and long term.

• Suggest innovative solutions to technical and business challenges.

• Document architecture and technical decisions to aid understanding and future development.

• Contribute to the technical development of fellow engineers on the team.

• Seek and apply feedback for continuous improvement while maintaining a collaborative and proactive demeanor.

• Participate in effort estimation for software development tasks.

• Involve yourself in the upstream (UPSTREAM) process as a technical reference.

• Lead and orchestrate code reviews.

• Strong experience in backend development.

• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.

• Practical experience with relational databases.

• Demonstrated experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.

• Familiarity with Kafka and Kafka Connectors.

• Experience with Maven and/or Gradle.

• Understanding of JPA/Hibernate.

• Experience with Kubernetes.

• Proactive attitude and effective communication skills.

• Ability to make collaborative decisions, considering their impact on the wider organization.

• Nice to have / Differentials:

• Experience with Prometheus.

• Knowledge of in-memory and NoSQL databases.

• Experience in backend application architecture.

• Understanding of security-by-design principles for applications.
