Senior Software Engineer, Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +15 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the creation of large-scale software applications, ensuring exceptional quality and compliance with our quality-first standards.

• Shape significant architectural decisions, guaranteeing that systems are scalable, maintainable, and in line with business goals.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to reach consensus on technical decisions and foster improvements.

• Guide junior engineers, offering mentorship on best practices and establishing technical standards across projects.

• Assume responsibility for technical initiatives, proactively tackling challenges and promoting enhancements based on data provided by support teams.

• Promote and apply quality assurance practices, ensuring the release of robust, high-performance software.

• Contribute to additional tasks as necessary to aid the team's overall success.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 10 years of experience in Java software development, particularly in product applications.

• More than 5 years of experience with highly scalable systems.

• Demonstrated experience in scaling systems and addressing complex system design challenges.

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) design principles and practices.

• Proficiency in API design and RESTful services, with experience in frameworks such as Spring.

• Skilled in relational database design and development.

• Familiarity with caching systems.

• Exposure to data warehousing and testing/automation tools is a plus.
