Senior Software Engineer – Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design and execute microservices adhering to Hexagonal Architecture principles.

• Contribute to architectural decisions and the design of solutions.

• Develop event-driven integrations utilizing Kafka, Avro, and Transactional Outbox.

• Create thorough automated unit, integration, and contract tests.

• Engage in code reviews and uphold high standards of code quality.

• Take ownership of assigned topics, identify stakeholders, collect information, and deliver solutions from start to finish.

• Leverage AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code in daily tasks.

• Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from analysis and solution architecture to implementation, testing, and deployment.

• Work on critical business systems related to parcel creation within InPost’s Consumer & Merchant Domain / Send Team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior-level Software Developer.

• Extensive experience with Java 21+ and Spring Boot, including MVC and/or WebFlux.

• Practical experience with Kafka.

• Familiarity with PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB.

• Strong grasp of Hexagonal / Clean Architecture and microservices patterns.

• Experience in automated testing tools like Spock or JUnit, Testcontainers, and contract testing.

• Proficient in Kubernetes, Helm, and GitLab CI.

• Comprehensive understanding of OAuth2/JWT-based security.

• Expertise with AI coding tools; Claude Code is the standard for the company, while experience with GitHub Copilot or Cursor is also relevant.

• Capability to work effectively in complex distributed environments with numerous microservices and various communication channels.

• Ability to handle large-scale production traffic with near-100% uptime requirements.

• Skilled in independently analyzing topics, identifying stakeholders, gathering information, and delivering solutions end-to-end.

• Willingness and capability to travel to Warsaw for the final recruitment stage.
