Senior Software Engineer – Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Engage with essential systems pertaining to parcel creation within InPost’s Consumer & Merchant Domain / Send Team.

• Take ownership of the entire software development lifecycle, encompassing topic analysis, solution architecture, implementation, automated testing, and deployment.

• Design and implement microservices adhering to Hexagonal Architecture principles.

• Contribute to architectural decisions and the design of solutions.

• Develop event-driven integrations utilizing Kafka, Avro, and Transactional Outbox.

• Create unit, integration, and contract tests.

• Participate in code reviews to uphold high standards of code quality.

• Identify stakeholders, gather relevant information, and independently deliver solutions from start to finish.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code in daily programming tasks.

• Operate within a complex distributed environment featuring microservices and communication channels.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior-level Software Developer.

• Extensive experience with Java 21+.

• Strong background in Spring Boot, including MVC and/or WebFlux.

• Practical experience with Kafka.

• Familiarity with PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB.

• Solid understanding of Hexagonal / Clean Architecture and microservices patterns.

• Experience with automated testing frameworks, such as Spock or JUnit, Testcontainers, and contract testing.

• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, and GitLab CI.

• Strong grasp of OAuth2/JWT-based security.

• Proficient with AI coding tools; Claude Code is the standard at the company, with GitHub Copilot or Cursor also being relevant.

• Willingness and availability to travel to Warsaw for the final stage of recruitment.
