Senior Software Engineer – ITOM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with end-users, IT teams, and key stakeholders to collect system requirements for integrations.

• Tailor ServiceNow applications and assist in the deployment of new modules, specifically ITOM (CMDB/Discovery).

• Configure integrations between ServiceNow and other applications using REST/SOAP web services.

• Demonstrate expertise in Flow Designer, Business Rules, Scripting, Integrations, and Logic implementations.

• Possess strong experience with Custom APIs and integration processes, guiding clients in understanding technical solutions that meet their business needs.

• Engage with technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to obtain necessary environmental data to support service mapping and event management tasks.

• Reflect impact assessment criteria within service maps and confirm with technical SMEs and stakeholders.

• Take part in user acceptance testing for the resulting maps, impact rules, and event management efforts.

• Promote your update sets and data across relevant ServiceNow environments.

• Address any production incidents that may arise within this scope.

• Collaborate with the existing ServiceNow technical lead on map/event tasks to ensure a consistent approach that maintains shared patterns.

• Proactively update operational documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to minimize support risks and inefficiencies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in the implementation, administration, configuration, and/or development of ServiceNow in ITOM (CMDB/Discovery/Mid Services).

• Experience in integrating ServiceNow with other systems/platforms, utilizing both mid servers and cloud-to-cloud solutions.

• Familiarity with ITOM and any bi-directional, automated integration between two systems.

• Proficiency in Data Extraction Technologies (e.g., JDBC, ODBC) or ETL integrations.

• Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of ServiceNow scripting, including Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Builder, Scripted REST APIs, and Script Includes.

• Capability to create technical design documents and user documentation.
