Senior Software Engineer II – Android, Kotlin

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• You will work alongside a team of product managers, designers, QA specialists, and fellow developers to lead mobile projects from inception to completion.

• Your input will be valued in decision-making processes, where you'll help balance aspects such as scope, complexity, and timeline.

• You will design your code to promote flexibility, modularity, and reusability.

• You will foster team development by engaging in mentorship, knowledge sharing, and comprehensive code reviews.

• You will maintain the integrity of our applications by writing tests, monitoring performance, reporting issues, and troubleshooting bugs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Kotlin with advanced knowledge.

• A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in Android development utilizing the Android SDK.

• Familiarity with the complete app development lifecycle, from development to deployment on Google Play.

• Preferred experience with Clean Architecture.

• Preferred experience in AI agentic development.

• Commitment to staying current with the latest patterns and libraries in the Android community.

• Experience with both JUnit and instrumentation testing for Android applications.

• A solid understanding of design patterns and the ability to identify their application in code.

• Experience with asynchronous patterns and network communication.

• Strong self-management skills and excellent follow-through.

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, conveying your points concisely and cohesively.

• A passion for mentoring others to excel as software engineers.
