Senior Software Engineer – Identity

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance systems and services that form the core of Alpaca's infrastructure.

• Create a global financial identity verification and risk management platform.

• Implement backend solutions and design a robust architecture.

• Take ownership of various tasks, proactively tackle technical challenges, and suggest innovative solutions.

• Contribute to architectural choices for scalable and dependable systems.

• Work collaboratively with other teams to enhance system interactions and Alpaca's systems.

• Ensure software quality and maintain test coverage.

• Engage in code reviews.

• Diagnose incidents and address reported bugs.

• Participate in on-call support for urgent engineering projects when required.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in developing systems at scale.

• Demonstrated experience in creating and maintaining microservices.

• Strong programming skills, ideally in Go.

• Proficiency in writing clean, well-tested, and maintainable code.

• Experience with domain-driven and event-driven design.

• Ability to troubleshoot issues or, preferably, anticipate problems and prevent them.

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies, particularly Kubernetes.

• Experience with cloud services, preferably Google Cloud Platform.

• Knowledge of relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL.
