This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and implement graph algorithms that assess extensive cryptocurrency transaction networks on a multi-blockchain level.
• Investigate innovative graph-native technologies to determine their advantages for TRM's data science and data engineering teams.
• Collaborate within a highly cross-functional team, working alongside cryptocurrency investigators to identify essential user stories and requirements for new graph algorithms and features.
• Comprehend and enhance TRM’s risk models that evaluate large networks of cryptocurrency transactions to assign risk scores to various addresses.
• Effectively communicate intricate implementation details to diverse audiences, including investigators, customer success stakeholders, data engineers, and data scientists.
• Integrate with a wide range of data inputs, from raw blockchain data to sophisticated model outputs.
• You hold an academic qualification in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or Physics.
• You possess a strong understanding of algorithm design and data structures, with practical experience applying this knowledge to real-world challenges.
• You have a background in optimizing large-scale distributed data processing systems, including Apache Spark, Apache Hadoop, Dask, and distributed graph databases.
• You are experienced in translating academic research into practical products and have collaborated with research teams that frequently release new features.
• You have substantial programming expertise in Python and SQL.
• You are an exceptional communicator, adept at tailoring complex topic explanations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• You are self-driven, capable of proposing and validating solutions with minimal supervision. You thrive in ambiguous situations and can shape your own research direction while remaining accountable for results.
• You possess knowledge of fundamental graph theory concepts.
• This position may qualify for participation in TRM’s equity plan.
