This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Innovate for the future - design, develop, test, and enhance high-performance Go services that facilitate USPS shipping for millions of users.

• Lead the transition - assist in refactoring legacy systems for cloud deployment, and architect new cloud-native services that fully leverage Azure, Kubernetes, Kafka, and more.

• Collaborate and inspire - partner closely with product managers and fellow engineers to transform ambitious concepts into robust architecture.

• Elevate standards - engage in peer reviews, mentor colleagues, and integrate modern Go best practices (gRPC, microservices patterns, performance optimization) into the codebase.

• Address real challenges - diagnose production issues in high-throughput, low-latency settings without causing downtime.

• Document for posterity - produce clear technical documentation so the next engineer can seamlessly continue from where you left off.

• Foster continuous improvement - introduce innovative ideas from the industry to enhance speed, scalability, reliability, and developer experience.

• Test with intent - create and execute automated unit, integration, and performance tests to ensure confident releases.

• Utilize smart tools - employ Git and other version control systems to manage intricate, distributed workflows.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree

• Over 8 years of software development experience, a master’s degree with 6+ years of software development experience, or equivalent relevant work experience.

• Demonstrated expertise in software development, encompassing design, coding, testing, and debugging applications.

• Proficient in Go; experience with additional programming languages such as Python, C++, or similar is advantageous.

• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.

• Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and design principles.

• Experience with backend frameworks and APIs; familiarity with front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or similar is a bonus.

• Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases and data modeling concepts.

• Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
