Senior Software Engineer – Go, Rust, Blockchain Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and enhance high-throughput, low-latency backend services, APIs, and data-processing systems using Go and Rust.

• Take ownership of production Go services and Rust components, which includes architecture, interfaces, concurrency models, memory and resource efficiency, testing, observability, deployment, and operation.

• Create architectures for distributed systems that ingest, process, validate, and serve blockchain data with a focus on strong consistency, fault tolerance, scalability, and availability.

• Manage technical work from start to finish, including requirements gathering, architecture design, implementation, testing, deployment, observability, incident response, and continuous improvement.

• Profile and benchmark production systems to enhance throughput, latency, resource efficiency, resilience, and correctness under load.

• Evaluate security risks in blockchain and distributed-system components and design or review protective measures.

• Troubleshoot complex failures across services, databases, streaming systems, networks, and blockchain nodes, then drive root-cause resolutions.

• Collaborate with Product, Infrastructure, Security, and Developer Experience teams to translate customer and protocol requirements into maintainable systems.

• Lead design and code reviews, mentor engineers, document decisions, and establish engineering standards across teams.

• Report to Engineering leadership for the Blockchain Infrastructure team; this position does not have direct reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of professional software engineering experience, with significant experience in building and operating backend or distributed systems within high-scale production environments.

• Advanced professional proficiency in both Go and Rust, showcasing experience in shipping and operating production software in each language.

• In-depth understanding of distributed systems, algorithms and data structures, concurrency, memory safety and ownership, databases, networking, operating systems, and production software architecture.

• Proven track record of delivering reliable, scalable systems with measurable enhancements in performance, availability, correctness, or developer experience.

• Experience with blockchain infrastructure, high-throughput APIs, node or RPC infrastructure, data-streaming pipelines, or other demanding distributed platforms.

• Experience in applying secure-design principles, threat modeling, and disciplined testing to systems where correctness and availability are paramount.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, sound technical judgment, and the ability to lead ambiguous, cross-team projects without constant supervision.

• Familiarity with Ethereum, Solana, or other major blockchain protocols and their node, RPC, indexing, or transaction-processing architecture.

• Experience in designing clean interfaces between Go services and Rust systems, libraries, or performance-sensitive components.

• Experience in designing or reviewing cryptographic, wallet, signing, custody, or other security-sensitive systems.

• Proficient with Kafka, queues, event-driven services, distributed databases, or large-scale observability systems.

• Demonstrated technical leadership through architecture ownership, mentorship, incident management, or engineering standards adopted across multiple teams.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the US without requiring company sponsorship.
