This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Design and implement robust, scalable backend solutions utilizing Java and Spring Boot.
• Engage in the complete software lifecycle, from design through to production deployment.
• Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines to ensure automation and uphold continuous quality.
• Construct and uphold unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to guarantee system reliability.
• Integrate and oversee relational databases while working with Kafka and Kafka Connect.
• Utilize JPA/Hibernate and Kubernetes for effective application orchestration.
• Ensure observability by monitoring metrics, logs, and other indicators.
• Implement best practices focused on resilience, fault tolerance, and high availability.
• Collaborate with diverse teams to foster technical alignment and effective communication.
• Suggest innovative solutions to address both technical and business challenges.
• Document system architectures and key technical decisions.
• Assist in the technical development of fellow engineers.
• Actively seek feedback and engage in a cooperative, proactive manner.
• Strong background in backend development.
• Expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
• Familiarity with relational databases.
• Regular practice in unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Understanding of Kafka and Kafka Connectors.
• Experience with Maven and/or Gradle.
• Proficient in JPA/Hibernate.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Capability to make technical decisions with a focus on system-wide implications.
• Familiarity with NoSQL and in-memory databases.
• Experience in backend application architecture.
• Awareness of security principles in application design.
• Advanced expertise in CI/CD practices.
• Ability to document architectures through diagrams and technical drawings.
• Experience in performance testing.
