This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Design and develop robust, scalable backend solutions utilizing Java and Spring Boot.
• Engage in the complete software lifecycle, from initial design to production deployment.
• Implement and enhance CI/CD pipelines, ensuring automation and ongoing quality assurance.
• Create and sustain unit, integration, and end-to-end (E2E) tests to guarantee system reliability.
• Integrate and oversee relational databases, while also working with Kafka and Kafka Connect.
• Utilize JPA/Hibernate and Kubernetes for application orchestration.
• Ensure system observability through metrics, logging, and monitoring.
• Apply best practices to achieve resilience, fault tolerance, and high availability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster technical alignment and effective communication.
• Propose innovative strategies for addressing both technical and business challenges.
• Document system architectures and key technical decisions.
• Mentor and support the technical development of fellow engineers.
• Actively seek feedback and work in a collaborative and proactive manner.
• Proven experience in backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience working with relational databases.
• Regular practice in unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Familiarity with Kafka and Kafka Connectors.
• Experience with build tools like Maven and/or Gradle.
• Proficient in JPA and Hibernate.
• Experience in working with Kubernetes.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Ability to make informed technical decisions with consideration to overall impact.
• Knowledge of NoSQL and in-memory databases.
• Background in backend application architecture.
• Understanding of secure application design principles.
• Advanced experience in CI/CD methodologies.
• Capability to document architectures with diagrams and technical drawings.
• Experience in performance testing.
• Background in mentoring and developing other engineers.
