Senior Software Engineer – Embedded Linux

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee the lifecycle of embedded Linux systems, including the management of security patches, updates, and long-term support.

• Develop and enhance functionalities on Linux-based embedded measurement platforms.

• Create and sustain drivers for hardware-related peripherals linked to measurement devices.

• Construct and integrate industrial and IoT communication interfaces to facilitate device connectivity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Deep Linux Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of system configuration, instrumentation, security, permissions, power management, and memory management.

• Yocto Framework: Practical experience in building and maintaining embedded Linux distributions utilizing Yocto.

• Cybersecurity Knowledge: Proficiency in handling FOSS, generating SBOM, tracking CVEs, and managing patches.

• Driver Development: Established experience in developing drivers for hardware-related peripherals.

• Industrial Interfaces: Acquainted with IoT and industrial protocols (such as Profinet, IEC61850, MQTT).

• Tooling & Workflows: Familiarity with automated workflows, GitLab, Jira, and CI/CD methodologies.

• Documentation Skills: Capability to produce clear and organized technical documentation.

• Language: Proficient in English.
