Senior Software Engineer – Electricity Markets

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain DevOps practices and infrastructure for a substantial, highly available Electricity Market Management System.

• Spearhead the advancement of on-premise, container-based deployment infrastructures, encompassing CI/CD pipelines and security chain-of-custody protocols.

• Design and manage build infrastructures utilizing Ansible, Maven, Jenkins, and Artifactory.

• Assess and incorporate new infrastructure tools.

• Counsel clients on infrastructure-as-code methodologies and assist with on-site product deployment.

• Execute, integrate, and validate system modifications alongside internal software developers.

• Provide technical oversight throughout the project lifecycle, including monitoring, defect resolution, and performance enhancement.

• Diagnose intricate technical challenges, document resolution guides, and monitor systemic issues.

• Act as the technical liaison between product development, external clients, and project teams.

• Apply and refine execution methodologies in alignment with governance and security standards.

• Mentor team members on best practices in DevOps.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.

• At least 5 years of experience in on-premise deployment, DevOps (CI/CD), software development, or enterprise system integration.

• A minimum of 3 years managing Kubernetes deployments and microservices architecture.

• Willingness to travel 10–20% of the time.

• Practical expertise with ArgoCD, Helm Charts, and high-scale RedHat Linux environments.

• Familiarity with enterprise logging/monitoring tools such as Splunk, Elasticsearch, Kibana, Prometheus, or Jaeger.

• Knowledge of Oracle RDBMS, PostgreSQL, and Kafka messaging frameworks.

• Understanding of Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript/JavaScript, and RESTful API design.

• Exposure to OpenShift, Docker, and container orchestration at scale.

• Proven ability to anticipate technical risks and proactively address obstacles.

• Capacity to convert complex business requirements into prioritized technical specifications.

• Documented experience leading technical teams and enhancing team performance.

• Ability to independently troubleshoot issues within complex software systems and mission-critical infrastructure.
