Senior Software Engineer – Developer Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Slovenia.

📋 Description

• Design and develop the project layer that integrates resources across Magic Containers, Edge Scripting, and Bunny Database.

• Establish management for dev/staging/prod environments, enabling customers to deliver their projects with assurance.

• Develop APIs for secrets management, focusing on secure storage, sharing, and access patterns across various products.

• Create observability features, including unified logs and metrics, allowing customers to troubleshoot issues across multiple bunny services through a streamlined and effective user experience.

• Implement a detailed API key and permission system that ensures robust multi-tenant isolation.

• Design APIs that are user-friendly, consistent, and genuinely enjoyable to interact with.

• Influence architectural choices and contribute to engineering best practices within the Core API team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with C# / .NET for backend development, particularly in async programming, memory management, and concurrency.

• Strong understanding of API design from a developer's viewpoint, including aspects like naming conventions, consistency, and error handling.

• Proven experience in creating APIs and interfaces that are utilized directly by other developers.

• Background in constructing secure, multi-tenant backend architectures.

• Solid grasp of secrets management and principles of credential security.

• Proficient in RabbitMQ (or similar technologies) for background processing and queuing.

• Practical experience with MariaDB (or equivalent relational databases).

• Familiarity with CI/CD processes via GitHub Actions and monitoring tools like Grafana.

• A strong focus on testing: integration tests, quality gates, and considering edge cases.

• Skilled in using AI coding tools (such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) to enhance daily productivity.

• A mentality of full ownership: overseeing projects from design through to production.

• Good judgment in determining when to delve deep into problems independently versus seeking collaboration.

• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, asynchronous environment.

• Effective communication skills: in coding, during reviews, and in Slack interactions.
