Senior Software Engineer, Developer Experience

📋 Description

• Develop products tailored for engineers: Create and design internal platforms, tools, and developer workflows that enhance the processes of software development, testing, reviewing, deployment, and operations.

• Enhance engineering productivity: Spot opportunities where strategic platform investments yield significant benefits across the engineering team. Aim to minimize developer friction while boosting engineering speed, quality, and reliability.

• Influence AI-driven software development: Construct practical AI-enabled workflows that assist engineers in writing, reviewing, testing, and delivering software more efficiently. Thoughtfully assess emerging technologies and help establish practices that enhance outcomes while ensuring security, reliability, and engineering excellence.

• Collaborate extensively within engineering: Engage closely with product engineering, infrastructure, security, and technical leaders to identify pain points, prioritize opportunities, and develop platform capabilities that address real challenges.

• Establish trusted paved paths: Create reusable tools, automation, documentation, and self-service capabilities that become the preferred methods for engineers due to their intuitiveness, reliability, and genuine usefulness.

• Assess impact: Utilize engineering metrics, developer feedback, and adoption statistics to continuously enhance the developer experience. Emphasize meaningful outcomes over mere activity metrics.

• Contribute to the evolution of Developer Experience Engineering: As an initial member of the team, influence technical direction, engineering standards, and the long-term development of Developer Experience Engineering at ClassDojo.
