Senior Software Engineer – Comms & Docs

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design scalable solutions for the claims engine.

• Play a key role in advancing Snapsheet’s top-tier claims engine.

• Work collaboratively across various departments to address complex challenges for global partners.

• Guide and mentor emerging talent.

• Create and develop APIs.

• Design schemas and efficient queries for relational databases.

• Establish communication and documentation capabilities within the claims-management ecosystem.

• Engage in multiple initiatives throughout a sprint.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience in full-stack web development.

• Proven experience in designing and building APIs.

• Experience in creating schemas and efficient queries for relational databases.

• Knowledge of scalability issues and performance of server-side code.

• Prior experience with React is essential.

• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails is an advantage.

• Enthusiasm for learning and collaborating within a team.

• Strong commitment to quality and a passion for technology and innovative solutions.

• Ability to manage tasks and contribute to multiple initiatives during a sprint.

• Experience or knowledge of Ruby on Rails, React, MySQL, S3, Redis, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, Lambda, Docker, and CloudFront.

• Must live outside of Alaska, California, Montana, North Dakota, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Wyoming.

• Must not require work visa sponsorship.
