Senior Software Engineer, C#

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Uruguay.

📋 Description

• Participate in engineering projects as a full software developer, delivering high-quality production features and services.

• Create, review, test, and sustain clean, dependable, and scalable code.

• Offer internal developer assistance across tools, libraries, standards, and methodologies.

• Guide engineers on setting up local development environments, Unix/Bash workflows, and daily tools.

• Advise teams on internal tools and frameworks, clarifying technical trade-offs and proposing solutions.

• Identify repetitive challenges and automate workflows through scripts, templates, and enhanced tools.

• Integrate AI expertise into the company's AI coding tools, such as Claude.

• Contribute to infrastructure-as-code and internal platform initiatives using Terraform in AWS environments.

• Assist teams in making identity and security framework choices involving tools like Okta and Auth0.

• Provide clarity in uncertain environments where documentation or standards are lacking.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–6 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields.

• Strong foundation in software engineering principles and the ability to offer clear, decisive guidance.

• Proficient in .NET.

• Willingness to work with languages outside the primary tech stack as needed.

• Strong skills in software design and architecture.

• Capability to organize solutions, evaluate trade-offs, and articulate design choices.

• Emphasis on testing within the development process.

• Ability to function as an internal consultant by diagnosing issues, communicating trade-offs, and suggesting solutions.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Coaching and mentoring attitude.

• Positive, collaborative approach with an openness to feedback.

• Proactive and independent in seeking improvements, automation, and simplification.

• Capacity to alternate between in-depth technical tasks and developer support.

• Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English.

• Familiarity with AWS architecture is a plus, but not mandatory.
